Frequently Asked Questions

SRS Private Investigations is a private investigator service that is proud to offer discrete, comprehensive, and readily understood services in San Francisco, California. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we encounter.

Why Conduct Pre-Employment Backgrounds?

Discover the truth hidden by deceptive applicants "playing the percentages" of employers who don't bother to check. Today, employers who do not prescreen applicants are gambling with their business' present and future. The fact is that applicant prescreening is inexpensive, fast, and legal. It doesn't have to be cumbersome or unmanageable.

Why Choose SRS Private Investigations?

Many companies offer "entry-level" backgrounds at unrealistically low prices. Those are frequently either teaser rates with costly add-on charges yet to come, or simply are incomplete and meaningless in scope. For example, some companies only check for records under the applicant's provided name, which avoids many pertinent record discoveries. Also, many others do not offer a comprehensive final report inclusive of all results obtained.

How Long Until the Report Is Ready?

The average time is between one to three days. In the rare instance that a report will take longer than three days, i.e. if we need to pull a criminal file to verify information or employer contacts are not available, this will be communicated within this timeframe and an ETA will be given.

How Far Back Does the Search Go?

Our searches go back seven years for felony, misdemeanor, and superior civil filings. By performing an extensive history, we keep you safe.

What Compliance Assurance Measures Are In Place?

SRS Private Investigations is dedicated to keeping up-to-date with both state and federal employment laws. Before reporting any information, we ensure state and federal (FCRA) compliance.

What Quality Measures Are In Place

To ensure quality control, every report is checked for accuracy. SRS Private Investigations' information providers have been working with us for many years and have proven histories of providing accurate information. Prior to reporting any court related information, we examine records to verify that all identifiers match and are reportable under state and FCRA laws.
